Rajat kapoor and Vinay pathak

Nothing like Lear by Rajat kapoor and Vinay pathak

We are happy to introduce Rajat Kapoor and Vinay Pathak, two of India’s most celebrated theatre and film personalities, who will be performing their critically acclaimed play “Nothing Like Lear” at the Ahmedabad Literature & Film Festival (ALLF 2025).

Rajat Kapoor  an acclaimed actor, writer, and filmmaker  is known for his thought-provoking work in Indian cinema and theatre. From directing gems like Mithya, Aankhon Dekhi, and Kadakh to delivering memorable performances in films such as Kapoor & Sons and Scam 1992, he has redefined storytelling with his nuanced approach to both acting and direction.

Vinay Pathak, a versatile actor and performer, is loved for his remarkable range across theatre, film, and television. Known for unforgettable roles in films like Bheja Fry, Dasvidaniya, Khosla Ka Ghosla, and Chalo Dilli, he brings warmth, humor, and authenticity to every character he portrays.

Together, they present “Nothing Like Lear” a deeply moving and darkly humorous adaptation of Shakespeare’s King Lear, written and directed by Rajat Kapoor. Told through the eyes of a clown who has lost everything, the play beautifully blends laughter, loneliness, and reflection, promising audiences an unforgettable theatrical experience at ALLF 2025.
